Screed Supplier
Screed is an ideal material for creating a smooth, durable and long-lasting finish to a concrete floor or surface. It can either be used as an underlying layer for a final floor covering, such as tiles or wooden floorboards, or be left exposed. Here at Rapid Readymix, we offer quick and efficient delivery of high-quality screed for domestic building projects and commercial construction sites in London, Surrey and the South East.
Volumetric Concrete
A volumetric concrete mixer is a mobile concrete batching plant. It features a batch metering system that measures concrete by volume rather than weight, enabling us to produce a more precisely-measured mix. We’re proud to be one of the only volumetric concrete suppliers in South London that runs separated volumetric mixers. This means that our aggregates are carried separately side-by-side in the split aggregate bins on the mixer. This is exactly as they are designed to be used. We only ever use separated virgin aggregates, which are stored in different compartments in the mixer and then batched together in the mixing chamber when the concrete is ready to be poured.
Lightweight Concrete
LYTAG is a lightweight aggregate that is made from pulverised fuel ash – a waste material created when coal-fired power stations produce electricity. It weighs about 25 per cent less than standard precast concrete and offers many benefits in terms of pouring, producing and transporting concrete. LYTAG lightweight concrete is usually only offered by traditional drum-mixer companies, but, thanks to Rapid Readymix’s state-of-the-art mixers and specialist storage facilities, we are one of the only volumetric concrete mixer fleets in London, Surrey and the South East to supply high-quality lightweight concrete using this lightweight aggregate!
Certified Concrete
Rapid Readymix is proud to be one of London’s only concrete suppliers operating volumetric mixers that holds full British Standards Institution (BSI) certification. We conform to both the BS EN 206-1 and the BS 8500 Standards for ready mixed concrete. When you order readymix concrete from us, you can rest assured that you’re receiving a high-quality product that has been certified by Britain’s official Standards Institution. Concrete Collections
If you would prefer to pick up your concrete directly from our Rapid Readymix yard rather than having us deliver it, we are more than happy for you to collect it. Simply place your order, drive to our South London yard, load up with our ready-to-use concrete and drive it back to your site in London, Surrey or a nearby area. This is particularly useful for projects that require short-notice concrete or that would benefit from complete control over when the concrete is poured. Our concrete collection service is speedy, flexible and convenient.
