Why we process your data

The only reasons that we would process your data are:

  • Because you have called or emailed us to ask for a quotation or request information. We will call or email you with the quotation or information you have requested. The lawful bases for this are: 1) consent, as you have given us explicit consent to use your data for this purpose; and 2) contract, because you require this information in order to book your concrete delivery and enter into a contract with Rapid Readymix.
  • Because you have booked a concrete delivery. Your details will be added to our database so that we can send you a booking confirmation and deliver your concrete. The lawful bases for this are: 1) consent, as you have given us explicit consent to use your data for this purpose; and 2) contract, because we need to use this information in order to carry out the concrete delivery that you have requested us to provide.
  • For financial purposes, following a concrete delivery. Once we have delivered your concrete, a paper invoice will be signed onsite. If you pay for the delivery via credit or debit card, your card details will be inputted into the Worldpay virtual terminal. The signed paper invoice will then be stored securely and a digital version created and stored securely. Your details will be added to Sage, and we will send a copy of your delivery invoice to the address that you have supplied, for your records. The lawful basis for this is contract, as we need to process your data to take payment.
  • Because you have opted in to receive marketing emails from us. We will only ever send marketing emails to you if you have provided clear double opt-in consent via the MailChimp platform. The lawful basis for this processing is consent, as you have given us explicit permission to include you in our marketing communications.

We don’t share your data

Rapid Readymix does not transfer data outside the UK, nor do we share data with third parties. When you book a concrete delivery, we will add your details to our Ragic database. If you provide us with a phone number or email address, these may be stored in the Outlook address book. After the delivery, we will add your details to Sage for accounting purposes.

How long we keep your data

Contact information that we use for marketing purposes may be kept in our systems for up to three years after the date of your final concrete delivery.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you. You can request this via email, phone or post, using the contact details provided at the top of this Privacy Notice. We will provide you with exports from our Ragic booking system and Sage, free of charge, within 30 days of your request. You also have the right to ask us to correct your data within our Ragic, Sage or Gmail records. If you have previously opted into our marketing emails, you have the right to ask us to delete your personal data (i.e. your email address and contact information) from our MailChimp list at any time, or restrict how we process it.

Without your data, we cannot fulfil our contract with you, or send you the marketing emails you have opted into.
