How do Volumetric Concrete Mixers work?
A volumetric concrete mixer is a mobile concrete batching plant. It features a batch metering system that measures concrete by volume rather than weight, enabling us to produce a more precisely-measured mix. We’re proud to be one of the only volumetric concrete suppliers in South London that runs separated volumetric mixers. This means that our aggregates are carried separately side-by-side in the split aggregate bins on the mixer. This is exactly as they are designed to be used. We only ever use separated virgin aggregates, which are stored in different compartments in the mixer and then batched together in the mixing chamber when the concrete is ready to be poured.
