When we received the original enquiry in February for the works to the Oxted railway platform extension, part of specification of the quote was the lorry would be required to arrive on site at 11pm and essentially wait there until 6am the next morning.

We quoted for the job accordingly and didn’t hear back until April, this was after they experimented with various other companies. In comparison these companies did not use the same machinery and technically could not match the requirements for the work which was to be carried out.

The trucks the other companies were supplying could not mix the material at the speed which was requested and the other was unable to part pour the load then sit on site due to the concrete setting, in the back of the vehicle. Our state of the art machinery was technically suited to all aspects of the works involved. It suited that the vehicle was able to mix the material at speed but also capable of producing a part load then waiting onsite without the material setting.

Our vehicles only needed to be washed out if we were waiting onsite so we were provided with a small wash out box.

On the first night the work started we managed to pour more than the other companies had since the job was started in March.

The job required different trades to work together concurrently to ensure the job was carried out in safe and secure environment.

We completed the job within four months and have gone on to do further projects with this client.
