Our large fleet of volumetric trucks enables us to meet the needs of all sizes of piling projects – we are able to batch about one cubic meter of concrete per minute from each mixer, so even the largest jobs can be carried out smoothly. We do not charge for delivery and, as our concrete is batched on site, there is no wastage, so you only pay for what you use. Rapid Readymix can supply highly workable and high strength concrete for piling projects of all sizes. Our regularly calibrated volumetric concrete mixers can deliver a tailored concrete mix, from 25N to 40N. We can adjust the water ratio and cement content to tailor the mix to protect itself from sulphate in the ground, our mixes conform to a minimum Dc-2 requirement but we can accommodate design chemical classes above this, and provide a concrete mix design certificate if required.

By finely controlling the concrete mix and only using quality materials, we can ensure our concrete is workable and can be pumped through your piling rig system efficiently. Additionally, as we batch concrete on site, you will only have to pay for the concrete that you use and wastage is kept to an absolute minimum.

As we use state-of-the-art volumetric mixers that keep all primary materials for our readymix concrete separate, we can modify our concrete to suit the relevant piling system on site, controlling the workability of the mix whether you’re pumping through a CFA piling system or pouring concrete in a simple straight tip. Our mixes will be adjusted to your exact specifications. There are 3 main areas of piling that we most often provide concrete for.
These are:
Bored piles: These open piles are constructed with short solid stemmed augers. Once the pile has reached the correct depth the auger is removed and pile reinforcements and concrete are placed or pumped into the bore.
CFA Piles: Continuous Flight Auger bored piles are constructed with hollow stemmed augers that pump concrete through the centre of the augers to base of the pile. We can provide concrete as well as concrete pump hire if necessary.
Mini Piles: These smaller rigs are used for installing piles where access and space is restricted. Our mixers and pumps can reach even the most difficult to access areas, and our consistent quality concrete is workable and can be efficiently pumped to where it needs to be..
